The brainchild of Isidoro Odin, a Piedmontese confectioner, and his wife Onorina Gay, this workshop has given life to many confectioners’ shops in the literary café areas of
Naples, Rome and Milan. Adored by Oscar Wilde during his
contested stay in Naples in 1897, by the poet di Giacomo and by
Eduardo De Filippo, the star of Neapolitan comedy. Renovated in
1922 by the engineer Trevisan, who experimented with reinforced
concrete to achieve a perfect, free Liberty style. The floral window,
mahogany furnishings, machines and recipes date from the early
twentieth century. A listed building since 1993
