In the Liberty style, it is a symbol of the Lido and of its splendours, with a façade entirely decorated in majolica, elegant halls with parquet floors, frescoes and original furniture, it has three floors all with early twentieth-century furnishings by the cabinet-maker Eugenio Quarti. Initially patronised by the high society of the Kingdom of Hungary, guests have included Sarah Churchill, the daughter of the British statesman, Claudia Cardinale, Jerry Lewis and Prince Edward of England. Its “Dancing Follies” were all the rage from 1930 to 1960. Magnificently restored and now complete with a Thai spa, it has fully returned to its original glory.
