Grand Hotel Miramare

A white building frescoed with trompe l’oeil and floral decorations; halls and restaurant with exquisite furnishings, marbles, stuccoes and frescoes. Beautifully restored, with gardens overlooking the sea, it is a luxurious symbol of the Liberty style on the Tigullio. From the terrace, in 1933, Marconi made the world’s first broadcast of telegraph and radio-telephone signals. In 1951 it hosted the international Coal and Steel Pool conference with the prime ministers De Gasperi and Pleven; then came Emperor Hailé Selassié and King Hussein of Jordan. Swimming Pool with sea water and refined restaurant panorama
