In 1877, Tchaikovsky composed the first three movements of his Fourth Symphony in room 106, and D’Annunzio, who was almost a habitué when in financial straits, came when invited for the inauguration of the monument to King Vittorio Emanuele II in front of the hotel. A fusion of Beau Rivage and Hotel d’Angleterre et Pension, it is now a gem with 53 luxurious rooms with all the atmosphere of the late nineteenth century , with 100 windows overlooking Riva degli Schiavoni and Island of San Giorgio.
Meticulous restoration has recreated all its original allure.
