Alandmark in the history of hospitality. Originally the Pension
Wolf, in 1913 it was transformed into the elegant Hotel Continental by Munsch&Lun, masters of the Liberty style in Merano. The opening of the splendid Kursaal room of the nearby Kurhaus attracted the cream of European society, who also came for fashionable medical and scientific conferences. Helped by
period photographs, restoration in the exquisite Jugendstil of its origins led back to its original rooms, arches, columns and decorations, and to the name “Meranerhof”, in honour of Merano’s first grand hotel, which had stood right opposite until 1959. It is now also a top-class beauty centre.
