The History and Passion of the Sicilian Confectionery Tradition live here in this Liberty-style candy factory for the production of fine sugared almonds, cinnamons and chocolate. It preserves: facades, large original spaces divided by arches and columns, high frescoed ceilings, original furnishings and diplomas of the time. Grandfather Santo, the founder and winner of various awards, invented the cigarette-shaped candy in 1915, and was immediately followed by his son Giovanni at the age of 12. Its illustrious customers have included the writer Di Maggio and the historian Giarizzo. Painstaking restoration has enhanced its use as: chocolate shop, tea room, cake shop, sweet shop and sale of original gift ideas. A meeting place for unique and cultural events. The activity is run by a team led by Gaetano’s wife Katia, who is also a partner in the Dolfin Spa international confectionery group.
