A splendid example of the Liberty style, still with its original early-twentieth-century floral-motif counter, floors, ceiling and even lighting. The founder, Enrico Vigoni, created the Torta Paradiso, the gastronomic symbol of Pavia which won the International Milan Expo gold medal in 1901, 1902 and 1906. With a secret ingredient, it was still fresh when it arrived abroad. The pastry shop for the ancient university opposite, it is a cultural meeting place and has for generations been the official supplier to another historical establishment: the Grand Hotel Miramare in Santa Margherita.
