Pasticcerie Paolo Atti & Figli

Dal 1868

Five generations in one of Italy’s most ancient pastry shops. In the heart of the Mercato di Mezzo, it has maintained the traditions of the shop and late-nineteenth-century and Liberty style premises in which it was created: the counter, panelling and shelving, windows, frescoed ceilings, lamps and even the tiled floor. Carducci, the painter Morandi, and the writer Raimondi all came here to talk of culture and delicacies with Paolo Atti, the pioneering Bologna entrepreneur to whom they wrote their appreciation, such as the ode to tortellini by the playwright Testoni. The realm of tortellini, hand-drawn pasta, tagliatelle pie, zuppa imperiale, Certosino and sweets.
