Simple and unique, with a historic kitchen open to view and marble and cast-iron tables, with a touch of the Liberty style added in 1902. This is the heart of Risorgimento Palermo: in 1848 Ruggero Settimo came here to celebrate his election as head of the Sicilian government, and legend has it that  Garibaldi dined here in 1860 during his conquest of Palermo with the Thousand. Francesco Crispi used to come here to discuss politics.
Five generations of the same family have preserved such ancient delights as “guastedde” and “pane ca meusa”, “sfincione”, “panelle”and potato “crocchè”, baked “anelletti” and sardines “a beccafico”.
