Inextricably bound to the nearby Savoy residence of Agliè, and a
supplier to the Royal household and to the Duke of Genoa, its
illustrious guests have included Queen Margherita of Savoy and
the beautiful Duchess of Pistoia who, with the excuse of buying
the biscuits named after her, came here for romantic encounters.
Designed in the early twentieth century by Antonio Roletti,
brother of Giuseppe, the founder, it was Gozzano’s favourite
venue. The building is a true gem in the Vienna Secession style
and the shop reflects the tastes of the age. Fourth generation, a
repository of historic Piedmontese pastry-making recipes.
